Make a Difference
Because of the generosity of corporate sponsors, local businesses and individuals, we can continue our hands-on work that has saved and touched countless lives over the past decade.

Throughout the year, we are working on ways to raise the funds needed to further our mission. We actively submit grant applications, receive donations from people like you, businesses, and corporations with a love of animals. In addition, we hold fundraising events like our Augusta’s Next Top Dog competition, Online Auctions and many more. Most include silent auction and raffles and are fun ways to raise money for our lifesaving programs and gather together with more animal loving people. Keep an eye on our facebook page for updates on our events. We are always looking for new revenue streams, so if you have any ideas, drop us a line and share it.

Donations
Your donations help us continue our lifesaving programs for companion animals from for our work.Pet owners understand the cost associated with caring for their pet or pets. Food, vaccinations, flea control, toys, beds and medical assistance when needed – it all adds up far too quickly sometimes. Founded in 2009, That’s What Friends Are For (TWFAF) helps families with the expense of spaying/neutering their animals. Your donation helps us continue our work.

Why donate to the TWFAF?
Your tax deductible donations help continue and grow our lifesaving programs for companion animals throughout the CSRA. The work we do, and have done, saves lives and keeps pets in homes, and reduces shelter admissions and deaths. When you look into the eyes of your adoring pet, we hope you will more fully understand our cause. Children, seniors, veterans, all of us, love our pets, but there are times when a bit of financial assistance is needed to save or improve the lives of our companions. By donating to TWFAF you will see your dollars at work here in our communities.

Volunteer
Help spread the word about the success of our programs, the importance of spay/neuter and the need for donations. Sign up to help with our fundraising events. Volunteer with local rescue groups that do adoption events.

Fosters are always needed, whether for a pup or a dog, a cat or a kitten, or even a litter. Fosters save lives by giving these lucky animals a loving home and a stable environment until they are placed in a forever home or transported to another location for better adoption opportunities.

Money isn’t the only way you can aid animals. You can help out by giving your time. You could volunteer to write grant requests, organize donation campaigns, marketing, or countless other ways. Time is just as important and appreciated as money if you can’t make a cash donation. TWFAF depends on volunteers. If you have an idea for fundraising, please share it with us.

Rescue Network
TWFAF works hard to promote camaraderie and networking among animal rescue groups and individuals involved in improving animal welfare. Below is a listing of local and national rescue groups.
